How should the Constitution be interpreted? Literally, based on the intentions of the Framers, or based on the current social standards.
The Framers intended for the Constitution to be open for changes so when we change it for today's conditions are we not interpreting it how they wished for it to be interpreted. So I would say that as we change the constitution we are changing it based on today's social standards which are effected by what the Framer's originally thought.
I agree partially with Kelly, but I also believe that we should also consider today's society as well. The constitution should be based on how the Framers intended for us to interpret it, but we should also interpret our constitution by how our country is run today and the world issues that we are involved in. Maybe ... revise the constitution, add new parts to it, or check and update some of the originial parts should be in order?
I agree with Micheal. The Framers intended for the Constitution to be open to change, so if it was changed to be interpret our world today it would be doing what the Framers intended.
I agree with Kelly because we are not the same as when it was written a lot of things have changed and even though some things are the same mst are not.
I think the constitution should be interpreted based on the way things are today because so much has changed in our world so the constitution should change along with it.
It should be based on the new social standards. Alot of the statements of the constitution were open-ended so that we, as current citizens, can make our own interpretations.

The Constitution should be interpreted based on the way the things are now because things are way different then they were back then
It should be based on the way the world is now.

It should be interpreted from the way things are now because if the world is always changing shouldn't our govenment change to meet those needs too?

The constitution better be interpreted the way things are now or else we are all screwed.

It should be taken literally and what the framers meant it to be
The Constitution should be interpreted literally. I believe the Framer's intended what they wrote to be interpreted literally.
